An All-Star Line-up...

Well, after a not-so-successful baseball season, Cody was picked once again for the All-star team here in the Big O. He, (and Mom and Dad)are very excited!! He did a great job for his team, the Yankees, this season as pitcher, 1st and 3rd baseman, and even played catcher this year. During some of the games he pitched you could hear parents going, "Ow!" or "Wow!" when the ball would hit the catcher's glove, or the backboard if the catcher missed. Just glad I wasn't on the receiving end of that ball!! Here is the Olney Major League All-Star team for 2010:

And here is some mighty fine pitching going on during a practice game --

I do believe he struck this kid out, along with many others during this game...

So, if you find yourself with nothing to do next week, we start our all-star games on Monday, June 28 right here in Olney! 8:00 p.m. to be exact. We have lots of lawn chairs and stands that need to be filled!!

Cody, we are so very proud of your accomplishments this season! You have grown not only as a ballplayer, but more importantly as a person. Remember, good sportsmanship, whether you win or lose, always makes you a better player, and person. We love you! Can't wait to watch some GREAT baseball over the next couple of weeks!!

Family Fun and "Wicked" Excitement!!

What another wonderful weekend! There's nothing like spending an evening at Ranger's Stadium smelling popcorn, peanuts, and watching Ian Kinsler "play ball!" Jami and Joey planned this whole event, and they did a very good job! Have a FEW pictures below you will hopefully enjoy as much as we enjoyed making them.

Three silly boys, ready for some baseball!

Mom and Dad enjoying the game.

Some intense concentration!

Jeff, Cody, and Jaxon - all smiles.

Jaden always smiles when he goes to the Ranger's game!

Trading cards, but he wouldn't trade them to anyone!

Joey and Leslye. He didn't take this picture, for once.

"Sisters, Sisters, there were never such devoted sisters!!"

One rowdy looking crew!!

We ended the evening, after a big Ranger's win, with a fireworks show and a sing-along. Now if you know anything about the Roberts' crew, it's that we LOVE to sing, to anything, and we sing loud and proud. Needless to say with the fireworks going off we felt we had to sing louder to be heard. :-)

On Saturday Mom and Dad took the 3 boys to a jump for joy kinda bounce house thingy (I don't remember what the name of it was...) They played for 3 hours and were exhausted when we met back up with them. While they were there, Jami, Jason, Leslye, Joey, Jeff and I went to see the musical "Wicked." Oh, my gosh, it was fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was our birthday present from them, and it was more than wonderful! We even got a special invitation during intermission to go to the offices of the executive producer of the show's office for refreshments. Woohoo!! That was very interesting... Jeff and I decided it ranked right up there under "Hairspray." If you've never been to see a Broadway musical, whether on or off Broadway, you should make it a point to see at least one in your lifetime. Just loved it, loved it, LOVED IT! Did I mention how much I enjoyed the show?

Thank you guys for a very wonderful afternoon!! Now I just need to get the CD so we can learn the songs. Have to be able to sing along the NEXT time we see this show. I mean, you can't see a show just once... Thanks Mom and Dad for keeping the boys and letting us all have a "date." Great weekend!!
